Justin Matar

Justin Matar is a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) based in Corona, CA, providing compassionate and evidence-based care to individuals facing mental health challenges. A graduate of Loma Linda University, Justin earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and brings years of diverse clinical experience to his work.

Justin began his career with Riverside University Health System, where he provided comprehensive psychiatric care to inmates in the Riverside County jail system. Specializing in dual diagnosis treatment, he developed expertise in addressing both substance use disorders and complex psychiatric conditions, helping clients stabilize, recover, and rebuild healthier lives.

Today, Justin serves the outpatient community throughout Riverside County, San Bernardino County, and Orange County, treating a broad range of conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and co-occurring substance use disorders. He provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management, ensuring that each treatment plan is safe, effective, and tailored to the individual’s unique needs. His approach emphasizes collaborative, patient-centered care, combining medical expertise with empathy and open communication to empower clients in their recovery journey.

Passionate about mental health awareness and advocacy, Justin believes in reducing stigma and improving access to high-quality psychiatric care. He works closely with individuals and families to promote long-term wellness through thoughtful, individualized treatment planning.

Outside of professional practice, Justin enjoys spending time with family, golfing, traveling, and watching movies with his kids. A lifelong learner, he continues to expand his psychiatric knowledge to provide the highest level of care to his patients.
