Katie Weber, LCSW, is the Founder, Owner, President, and CEO of Weber Counseling Services, an EMDR Certified Therapist, and an EMDRIA Approved Consultant. She has extensive experience helping individuals navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, anger, self-doubt, relationship challenges, and difficult life experiences. In addition to leading Weber Counseling Services, Katie continues to provide virtual therapy appointments, allowing her to remain closely connected to the clinical work at the heart of the practice.
Katie founded Weber Counseling Services with the belief that mental health care should feel compassionate, personal, and genuinely supportive. That philosophy continues to shape both her work as a therapist and her leadership of the practice. She believes everyone deserves a space where they can be honest about what they are experiencing, better understand themselves, and work toward a life that reflects their values and needs.
Her therapeutic style is warm, direct, collaborative, and personalized. Katie uses empathy, honesty, and humor to build meaningful therapeutic relationships where clients feel comfortable exploring difficult emotions and experiences. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, she works collaboratively with each client to understand their individual goals, strengths, challenges, and circumstances.
As both an EMDR Certified Therapist and EMDRIA Approved Consultant, Katie brings advanced training and experience in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to her clinical work. EMDR is an evidence-based approach that can help clients process traumatic or distressing experiences that continue to affect emotions, beliefs, relationships, and responses to stress.
Katie integrates EMDR to address concerns connected to the past, present, and future—helping clients process earlier experiences, understand how those experiences may be affecting them today, and develop healthier responses moving forward.
Her designation as an EMDRIA Approved Consultant reflects an advanced level of experience with EMDR and her commitment to maintaining high standards in EMDR practice. In addition to her work with clients, this role allows Katie to support the professional development of other EMDR-trained clinicians through consultation consistent with EMDRIA standards.
Katie understands that unresolved experiences can influence the way people think about themselves, respond emotionally, relate to others, and cope with stress. Through EMDR therapy and individualized counseling, she helps clients explore these connections, process difficult experiences, and develop healthier ways of managing emotions and navigating life.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Katie also considers the broader context of each client’s life. Mental health is influenced not only by individual experiences, but also by relationships, family, home life, work, community, and the environments in which people live. Understanding these influences can help clients gain greater clarity about their experiences and the changes they want to make.
Katie is particularly passionate about helping clients who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, fear of failure, depression, anger, frustration, stress, or the pressure to hold everything together for the people around them. Therapy provides a space to step away from those expectations, explore what is happening beneath the surface, and reconnect with personal needs, values, and goals.
At the center of Katie’s approach is the belief that therapy should help people find their own voice. She works alongside clients as they process thoughts and emotions, identify patterns that may no longer serve them, develop healthier coping skills, and build greater confidence in their ability to handle difficult situations.
As the Founder and CEO of Weber Counseling Services, Katie brings this same philosophy to the broader practice, helping shape an organization centered on compassionate, accessible, individualized, and evidence-based mental health care.
Katie provides virtual therapy appointments only, including virtual EMDR therapy.
