Citlalli Gonzalez provides compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for adults, children, couples, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, family conflict, divorce, relationship challenges, abuse, and major life stressors. With more than 14 years of experience applying trauma-informed practices, she works to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can better understand what they are experiencing, strengthen coping skills, and move toward meaningful change.

Citlalli understands that trauma and prolonged stress can affect many areas of life, including emotional well-being, relationships, confidence, communication, and a person’s sense of safety. Her approach focuses not only on understanding what has happened in the past, but also on helping clients address the challenges they are facing today and build healthier patterns for the future.

Her therapeutic style is collaborative, solution-focused, and individualized. Citlalli works closely with each client to identify meaningful goals, explore practical solutions, and develop strategies that reflect their unique experiences, values, beliefs, and needs. She believes therapy is most effective when clients feel respected, involved, and empowered throughout the process.

Citlalli has extensive experience supporting individuals affected by child abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence, family conflict, and other traumatic experiences. Her professional background also includes working collaboratively with law enforcement and participating in mediation, giving her a broad understanding of the complex personal, family, and systemic issues that can accompany trauma and interpersonal conflict.

She also works with individuals experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, and difficult life transitions, helping clients recognize patterns that may be contributing to distress while developing healthier coping strategies. Her goal is to help clients feel better equipped to manage difficult emotions, respond to stressful situations, and make decisions that support their overall well-being.

In her work with couples, Citlalli helps partners address communication difficulties, relationship stress, conflict, and patterns that may be creating distance or frustration. She works collaboratively with couples to strengthen communication, improve understanding, and develop healthier ways of navigating disagreements and emotional needs.

Citlalli also has significant experience working with children and families. She has led parenting education programs in school settings and understands how family dynamics, communication, parenting stress, and major transitions can affect both children and caregivers. Her work supports families in developing healthier coping skills, improving communication, and strengthening relationships.

Citlalli earned her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Services from California State University, Fullerton.

She provides therapy in both English and Spanish and has extensive experience working with individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. Citlalli recognizes that culture, family, identity, and personal values can all influence the therapeutic process and works to ensure clients feel respected and understood.

Whether you are working through trauma, anxiety, abuse, family conflict, divorce, relationship difficulties, or overwhelming life stress, Citlalli offers a supportive space to identify your strengths, build healthier coping skills, and work toward greater emotional stability and connection.
