Tamera Sutherland is a Master of Social Work (MSW) student currently completing her clinical practicum and preparing to graduate in August 2026. She provides counseling services under supervision as part of the Weber Counseling Services team.

Before entering the field of social work, Tamera worked as a licensed cosmetologist and hairstylist for more than 37 years. During that time, she witnessed the power of listening, trust, and meaningful connection. Those years of sitting with people’s stories — through seasons of joy, change, and challenge — deepened her belief in the importance of creating safe, supportive spaces where individuals feel truly heard.

Tamera’s lived experiences, including becoming a young mother and navigating life’s transitions, shaped her passion for helping others find their own path forward. Her approach is warm, person-centered, and grounded in empathy and cultural humility. She brings a calm, steady presence and strives to create an environment where clients feel comfortable showing up as they are.

As she continues developing her clinical skills under supervision, Tamera remains committed to growth, authenticity, and walking alongside individuals with respect and care as they navigate relationships, life transitions, and personal development.
