Vanessa Inzunza provides compassionate, individualized therapy for children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, behavioral challenges, grief, identity concerns, substance use, and overwhelming emotions. She is especially passionate about helping children express and process difficult feelings through play therapy in a safe, supportive, and developmentally appropriate environment.

Vanessa understands that children do not always have the words to explain what they are feeling. Emotional distress may instead show up as acting out, difficulty focusing, withdrawal, irritability, big emotional reactions, or changes in behavior. Through play therapy, she helps children communicate in ways that feel natural to them while developing greater emotional awareness, coping skills, resilience, and healthier ways of expressing their needs.

Her work with children is collaborative and supportive, recognizing that each child has their own personality, strengths, experiences, and pace. Vanessa creates a space where young clients can feel safe exploring difficult emotions while building skills that can support them at home, at school, and in their relationships.

Vanessa also works with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, burnout, ADHD, grief, self-doubt, identity concerns, behavioral challenges, and substance use. She tailors therapy to each client’s individual needs, helping them better understand what they are experiencing while developing practical strategies for managing difficult emotions and everyday stressors.

Her therapeutic approach is flexible and collaborative. Depending on the needs of the client, sessions may incorporate play, talk therapy, emotional regulation strategies, coping skills, and practical skill-building. Vanessa believes that therapy should meet people where they are rather than forcing them into a single approach.

For clients working through trauma or overwhelming experiences, Vanessa focuses on creating a sense of safety and trust before moving toward deeper emotional work. She helps clients identify their strengths, recognize patterns that may be contributing to distress, and develop healthier ways of responding to difficult situations.

Vanessa also understands how challenges such as ADHD and behavioral concerns can affect confidence, school performance, relationships, and family life. She works with clients to improve emotional regulation, communication, problem-solving, and coping skills while recognizing the strengths each person already brings to the process.

Above all, Vanessa strives to create a warm, nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. She believes healing looks different for everyone and works collaboratively with clients and families to identify goals that feel meaningful and achievable.

Whether your child is struggling with big emotions, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, or behavioral concerns, or you are navigating depression, grief, substance use, stress, or a difficult life experience yourself, Vanessa offers a supportive space to work toward greater confidence, emotional well-being, and meaningful growth.
