Gabriela Garcia, AMFT, is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who provides warm, compassionate, and trauma-informed therapy for adults, adolescents, and families. Her approach is grounded in attachment-based and relational therapy, helping clients better understand how past experiences and important relationships can influence the way they see themselves, manage emotions, and connect with others.

Gabriela has experience supporting individuals and families across community-based and correctional settings, including working with people impacted by incarceration, substance use, reentry, major life transitions, and complex family dynamics. These experiences have shaped her ability to meet clients with empathy, curiosity, and respect for the unique circumstances that have influenced their lives.

Her areas of focus include anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief and loss, relationship concerns, self-esteem, family conflict, boundary setting, and life transitions. Gabriela also works with clients who want to better understand recurring patterns in their relationships, strengthen communication, improve emotional regulation, and develop a healthier relationship with themselves.

Gabriela believes that many of the ways we cope, communicate, and relate to others develop in response to earlier experiences. While these patterns may have once helped us adapt or feel safe, they can sometimes become obstacles to the relationships and life we want today. Through attachment-based, relational, and trauma-informed therapy, she helps clients explore these patterns with compassion rather than judgment.

Her work is highly collaborative and tailored to each individual. Gabriela helps clients identify their emotional needs, develop practical coping skills, establish healthier boundaries, and build greater confidence in navigating relationships and difficult emotions. She balances encouragement and support with gentle challenge, helping clients gain new perspectives while moving toward changes that feel realistic and meaningful.

Gabriela understands that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when discussing painful experiences, family relationships, grief, or major changes in life. She strives to create a safe and welcoming environment where clients can be honest about what they are experiencing without fear of judgment.

Whether you are struggling with anxiety or depression, navigating ADHD, grieving a loss, experiencing relationship or family difficulties, rebuilding your life after a major transition, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, Gabriela offers a supportive space to explore what is happening and develop tools for moving forward.

Her goal is to help clients feel more connected to themselves, more confident in who they are, and better equipped to build healthier relationships and create meaningful, lasting change.
