Elizabeth Ortiz provides compassionate, individualized therapy for children and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, relationship concerns, life transitions, and personal growth. She also has a particular interest in supporting immigrant and refugee individuals and families as they adjust to new environments, identities, relationships, and life circumstances.
Elizabeth understands that people often come to therapy feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or unsure of what steps to take next. Whether someone is struggling with a specific challenge, adjusting to a major change, working toward greater confidence, or trying to improve relationships and daily functioning, she believes therapy can provide both insight and practical tools for moving forward.
Her approach is holistic, empathetic, collaborative, and adaptable. Elizabeth draws from evidence-based therapeutic approaches while tailoring treatment to each client’s individual strengths, needs, experiences, and goals. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all model, she works with clients to identify what feels most helpful and realistic for their unique circumstances.

For clients experiencing anxiety or depression, Elizabeth helps explore the thoughts, emotions, stressors, and patterns that may be contributing to distress while building practical coping strategies and emotional regulation skills. Her goal is to help clients better understand what they are experiencing and develop tools that can support them both inside and outside of therapy.
Elizabeth also works with clients with ADHD and autism, helping individuals and families better understand their strengths, challenges, and needs. Therapy may focus on areas such as emotional regulation, executive functioning, coping skills, communication, self-confidence, daily routines, and adapting to environments that may feel overwhelming or difficult to navigate. Her additional training in brain health coaching complements this work by providing another lens for understanding attention, behavior, routines, stress, and overall functioning.
When working with children, Elizabeth creates a supportive and developmentally appropriate space where young clients can build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and feel more confident expressing what they need. She also recognizes the important role that family, school, culture, environment, and daily habits can play in a child’s emotional well-being.
Elizabeth has a special interest in working with immigrant and refugee populations and understands that adjusting to a new country, culture, community, or way of life can bring both opportunity and significant stress. Experiences involving cultural transitions, separation from support systems, identity, language, family roles, or past trauma can all affect emotional well-being. She approaches these concerns with cultural humility, curiosity, and respect for each client’s lived experience.
Throughout therapy, Elizabeth helps clients identify meaningful goals, recognize their existing strengths, and develop strategies that can improve emotional regulation, relationships, confidence, decision-making, executive functioning, and everyday functioning. She believes progress looks different for everyone and works collaboratively with clients to define success in a way that feels authentic to them.
Above all, Elizabeth strives to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring difficult emotions and experiences. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, relationship challenges, cultural adjustment, or simply looking for greater clarity and direction, Elizabeth offers a supportive space to better understand yourself and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
