Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
Associate Professional Clinical Counselor

Shayna McGraw, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who provides compassionate, integrative therapy for individuals navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship concerns, identity, and major life transitions. She works to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can better understand their experiences, process difficult emotions, and move toward greater resilience and emotional well-being.

Shayna understands that experiences such as loss, divorce, family conflict, career changes, trauma, and shifts in identity can affect many areas of a person’s life. These challenges can leave people feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, or uncertain about how to move forward. Her goal is to help clients make sense of what they are experiencing while developing practical tools for managing emotions and creating meaningful change.

Her therapeutic approach is integrative and individualized, allowing treatment to be tailored to each client’s needs, experiences, and goals. Shayna incorporates evidence-based approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, and Emotional Freedom Techniques.

Shayna has a particular interest in trauma therapy and EMDR, helping clients process painful or overwhelming experiences that may continue to affect their emotions, relationships, self-esteem, or sense of safety. Rather than focusing only on managing symptoms, she helps clients explore the experiences and patterns that may be contributing to distress while building healthier ways of responding.

She also works with individuals experiencing dissociation, depersonalization, and derealization. Shayna recognizes that these experiences can feel confusing or frightening and provides a calm, grounding environment where clients can better understand their symptoms, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with themselves in a way that feels safe and manageable.

For clients experiencing anxiety, stress, or depression, Shayna draws from CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and other approaches to help identify unhelpful patterns, improve emotional regulation, and develop skills that can be applied outside of therapy. Her work also supports clients navigating anger, grief and loss, low self-esteem, family dynamics, relationship difficulties, and questions related to identity and self-acceptance.

Shayna believes therapy should honor both where a person has been and where they want to go. Through psychodynamic and relational exploration, she helps clients better understand how past experiences and deeper emotional patterns may influence current relationships, behaviors, and beliefs about themselves.

Her approach is warm, collaborative, and compassionate. Shayna strives to provide a space where clients can be honest about what they are experiencing without fear of judgment and where healing can happen at a pace that feels right for them.

Whether you are working through trauma or PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, dissociative symptoms, or a major life transition, Shayna offers a supportive place to explore your experiences, strengthen your coping skills, and move toward greater self-understanding, connection, and emotional well-being.
